The French Institute in Da Nang recently announced that the French quartet Arod will perform in Da Nang's Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre at 8.00 pm today (17 August). The event is part of the cultural cooperative programme between the French Embassy in Viet Nam and the Da Nang People’s Committee with the support of the city’s Foreign Affairs Department and Culture and Sports Department.
The Arod string quartet comprised of 4 young men who have already made a name for themselves in the classical music scene in Europe.
Founded in 2013 in France, the string quartet has won numerous prestigious awards, including the ARD Munich.
The group had come to Viet Nam as part of the ongoing Vietnam Connection Music Festival featuring two of the most popular string quartets by Joseph Haydn and César Franck as well as a Viet Nam premiere of a work for string quartet by French composer Benjamin Attahir.
Later on August 25, the group will also perform in Ha Noi's L'Espace.
