The East-West Economic Corridor’s (EWEC) International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair – Da Nang 2018 opened at the Da Nang International Exhibition Fair Centre on 3 August. Three Indian naval ships, comprising the frigate Ins Sahyadry, the fleet tanker Ins Shakti and the anti-submarine stealth corvette Ins Kamorta, with a total of more than 900 officers and crew members aboard, arrived in Tien Sa Port on 21 May at the start of their five-day courtesy visit to the city. On the same day, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh met the ships’ chief officers led by Rear Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, flag officer commanding of the Eastern Fleet.
